“I paint the things that excite my curiosity. Sometimes that's an awe-inspiring landscape and other times it's the way light falls on a chair at a particular time of day. I love how painting allows me to express ideas: occasionally with planning and forethought, and other times rapidly dashing in colors before the light fades and shifts into an entirely different scene. The more I paint, the more I find beauty in unplanned moments and unexpected places.”
